Introduction

Overview of administrative settings: base configuration, members, API keys, and governance.

This section centralizes administrative controls for your Status Instance: naming, security credentials, team governance, and API access. Settings changes are typically instant; some (branding, custom domain) may involve propagation time.

The settings section allows you to configure various aspects of your project and manage team members. Here you can find all available settings and configuration options organized in different categories:

MembersInvite / remove users, role managementEnforce least privilege.
API KeysProgrammatic access tokensRotate regularly; revoke on suspicion.

API Keys

API keys inherit instance plan limits (monitors, pages, etc.). Always scope usage—store keys in secrets managers, never in client‑side code. Regenerate immediately if exposed.

Member Management

  • Use distinct accounts per individual—avoid shared logins.
  • Remove departed team members promptly to maintain compliance.
  • Enterprise tiers will introduce granular permissions (roadmap).
